WFMW Baked Apples
Here in Texas the fall weather is here! It has started to get cooler and it has been rainy. This cool and wet weather has me wanting to make some fall recipes. One of those is Baked Apples. These are easy to make and taste great!
What you need:
1 Apple
1 teaspoon Brown sugar(I used the Splenda blend for lower sugar)
1/2-1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
Butter(use your desired amount)
To begin wash and peel your apple. Cut the apple into slices or bite size pieces like I did here. Place in a microwave safe bowl. In another bowl mix together your sugar and cinnamon. Put your desired amount of butter on the apples and then sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar mixture on top.
Place apples in microwave and cook for 2 minutes. If you want your apples to be softer cook longer.
When apples are cooked stir well and enjoy!
This works for me because they are easy to make and fast! Click here for more WFMW tips!

How timely, I'm serving baked apples to the guests tomorrow morning. I do the traditional stuffed core kind but these would be easier for a larger group
ReplyDeleteI have some leftover apples from our Fruit Box. This is a great way to use them up.
ReplyDeleteI used to work with someone who lived in Tyler, Texas. I chucked when I say that's where you're from. Her accent definitely makes her a "stand-out" in Las Vegas.
oooh, some vanilla ice cream on top and I'd be in heaven!
ReplyDeleteOh yummy. I love to do this at this time of year. We love to go apple picking at the farms with the kids. This is a good recipe that we can use.
ReplyDeleteI was just in Dallas and what I noticed was your leaves to really change color; they just fall. Enjoy the cool temps, even if it's rainy, cause those summer months are a killer.
